Shore land View Improvement

We work with local Codes enforcement to develop an approved plan to improve your shoreland view.  We regularly prune and remove trees within the shore land zone. FTS LLC is a DEP Certified Erosion Control contractor.

Progressive Tree & Shrub Health Care Provider

Our PHC (plant health care) programs are conducted to prevent or respond to flare ups of insects or disease to limit or prevent damage to your trees and shrubs.   Preventive programs are tailored to the goals of the property owner and can range from a single treatment to season long monitor/inspection visits.  We are knowledgeable in management of invasive insects like HWA, Winter Moth, EAB, and diseases such as Anthracnose, Cedar Apple Rust or Peach Leaf Curl.   Feel free to reach out to discuss how we can help you.

Invasive Plant Management

Maine's woods and landscapes are increasingly invaded by various exotic woody plants.  Our staff are able to identify these invasive plants and use cultural and chemical control  methods to manage them.   Chemical services involve cut stump treatment, basal bark or foliar application of a labeled herbicide from a back pack sprayer.  Our cultural controls range from hand cutting and removing plants to forestry mulching or root system excavation.  We offer remediation in the form of forest replanting to encourage Native plant species.

Trail Development and Forestry
Mulching

We help develop and maintain trails to help owners gain access either on foot or by UTV, ATV, or other motorized access.  We develop new trails or help improve existing trails.  For interested owners, digital mapping and trail layout services are available to help with exploring and enjoying Nature throughout the 'back fourty'.
